It may not be ready for listing on the slide, but PHLIP is also working on the LOINC set for Salmonella orders & linked results between SPHLs and CCID lab.

The Public Health Case Reporting (PHCR) community is interested in improving case reporting, defined as transmission of reportable condition reports from clinicians and facilities to public health.
The Laboratory Messaging Community of Practice (LM CoP) brings together PHIN stakeholders nationwide involved in defining, implementing, maintaining, evaluating, and evolving lab messaging.

- I am a native German who moved to the Bay Area in 1993.
I graduated Medical School at the Freie Universitaet Berlin, Germany and am a licensed physician in Germany. I received my Master in Public Health from the University of California, Davis in 2004. For the last 5+ years I have been working as a Public Health Information Specialist specializing in syntactic and semantic interoperability using LOINC, SNOMED and HL7. I am currently working as a consultant for APHL, where I am participating in the CDC-APHL co-sponsored Public Health Laboratory Interoperability Project (PHLIP) as well as in other national vocabulary harmonization projects like LIMS integration and the Electronic Laboratory Reporting Guide review sponsored by CDC and CSTE. I am a member of HL7, have attended LOINC committee meetings and participated in a SNOMED hierarchy modeling workshop.
