Agreed! Nice to know who is participating, in which communities, and for what reasons. Sounds like you have the right idea, Riki, with this site being a great way to avoid "re-inventing the wheel." I'm a huge proponent of that thought.

Public Health Advisor
Bio
Rachel Johnson's career in Public Health began after receiving her BA in Communication Studies during her 2 1/2 year Peace Corps assignment in South Africa. Being situated in a rural, farming village on the border of Botswana, she lived among the Nothern Sotho and Tswana speaking tribes where she developed and implemented a sustainable health education program for young girls and women. This project came to be known nationwide as Palala Clubs and expanded to reach both boys, girls and even adults in many different communities. The Palala Clubs began as a PEPFAR (President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Reflief) funded project but gained financial independence by the end of two years with the incorporation of income generating crafts.

Today, Rachel works at the CDC where she serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the Public Health Information Network (PHIN).
