Q: How did you first hear about phConnect?
A: Through a course I took at Capella University.
Q: What was your first impression when you signed on and looked around?
A: I enjoyed reviewing other professionals' input into how to improve public healthcare.
Q: If you’ve chosen to join a particular community, how has becoming involved positively impacted your daily work?
A: There are a few communities that are of interest to me. However, at this time I’ve only joined one community in particular. It’s the “Minority Serving Institutions Substance Abuse and HIV Prevention Community of Practice (MSI SA/HIVP CoP)".
Q: What would you say to colleagues who ask you if they should join phConnect?
A: I would recommend it. It provides a great way to network and build collaborative relationships.
Q: Why do you feel it is important to collaborate with colleagues in the field?
A: It’s important because collaborating with others allows us to make needed improvements towards quality healthcare for minorities. By joining phConnect, I’m connected to other professionals who are passionate about all individuals. Public Healthcare professionals are reshaping the future of public health!
