Comment by quest lakes on May 2, 2012 at 3:58pm I'm especially interested in learning the most effective way to describe health care access gaps (and affects) to policy makers as well as the general population. Below is a link to 3 short films about a free health care event that our Coalition worked with many partners to host in April, 2012. We welcome your input:
ELR Translation Tool Released (November 2011)
Based on input from the user community, the need was identified for a mechanism to translate Health Level Seven (HL7) Unsolicited Observation Message (ORU_R01) Version 2.3.1 messages into HL7 ORU_R01 Version 2.5.1 messages.
There was also a need to develop a mechanism to translate Health Level Seven (HL7) Unsolicited Observation Message (ORU_R01) Version 2.5.1 messages into HL7 ORU_R01 Version 2.3.1 messages. Note: If you are using Internet Explorer 8 there is an issue with the open button on the HL7 download. If the open button is selected the HL7 website returns you to a previous screen without opening the tool. Until HL7 resolves this issue, you must select the save button and save the file to a local location and then open the file from this location.

Comment by Lily Tatham on March 3, 2011 at 11:58am The specimen value set available on the PHIN VADS site is PHVS_Specimen_CDC_V6, so is this what should be used in 2.5.1 messages at this time? The implementation guide says it is TBD, but examples have HL70487. I'm not able to locate HL70487.
If anyone has an example of a properly formatted SPM-4 using the PHIN VADS specimen value set) that would also be appreciated.
thanks
