The Older Adult Stakeholders Group provides a forum for NDEP partners exploring ways to prevent or control diabetes in older adults, the age group with the highest prevalence of diabetes and an age group that responded very positively in the Diabetes Prevention Program study. NDEP partners share information about emerging issues; review and provide feedback on NDEP messages and materials developed for older adults; and discuss initiatives NDEP might explore to fill gaps in outreach to meet the needs of this population.
