I'm really enjoying this class.  Hoping to be able to print these instructions out to keep in a binder so I can easily refer to it.

Taking the Otago training now. Are there more recent studies than the last 1999 trial?

I've learned different rules and guidelines concerning the care for a client.

I have learned the many components on the Otago program.

After completing my first internship in a SNF, I believe that beginning a program like this within the facility would help with continuity of care with home health and improve patient confidence at time of discharge.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, am I able to implement the Otago Exercise program within a POC that specifies the nessesary deficits (fall risk), or do I need to work under a PT that is certified in the program as well?

didn't realize it was focused on people 80 plus.

Interesting evidence based program.  Unfortunately I work in outpatient orthopedics and tend to have younger clientele so hopefully I'll remember enough to implement the program if the need arises.

Just starting to look into implementing Otago exercise into our community-based setting/outpatient physical therapy. Already do Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall prevention and host site for Matters of Balance and Stepping On. Want to be able to address the continuum of care. Have other outpatient physical therapy had success with OTAGO getting reimbursed?
