Are there any circumstances that you know of in which the parent and child view became unlinked when using RELATE on grids and related view? If so, how can it be resolved?
Are you receiving an error message in Enter saying 'The relationship between parent and child has been severed'? If so, this can be corrected by removing the relate button (removing the button will not delete the related view to which it was previously pointing) and then re-adding it. When you re-add it, specify 'Relate to existing view' when prompted. As soon as you select this option, a list of Views will appear and you can choose which one to link. Afterwards the relationship will be restored.
If this error is appearing in Analysis, then we will need to know more about what you are doing. How are you trying to conduct the relate, and what error message do you see in Analysis?
Finally, conducting analysis of any type has not been known to cause de-linking. We have seen and heard of cases where clicking on form controls in Enter before the View has loaded will cause relationships to be severed, and this may not be evident to the user until they re-load the View. Perhaps that is what happened here.
