Event Description

Hi All,
We have changed the date to October 13th, 2009 due to a meeting conflict for the presenter. Please see the meeting invitation below

PHIN Vocabulary and Messaging Community of Practice
October Meeting

Public Health Vocabulary and Messaging Community,

The VM CoP will meet, Tuesday, October 13th at 3:00pm, via webinar. During this meeting, Ted Klein will present and lead a discussion about Object Identifier (OID) . This presentation will include vocabulary and non-vocabulary OID's (Organization, Application, etc..).

An OID is a globally unique string representing an ISO (International Organization for Standardization) identifier in a form that consists only of numbers and dots (e.g., "2.16.840.1.113883.3.1").

For more information about OID's and HL7 OID registry, please visit the HL7 OID registry at http://www.hl7.org/oid/index.cfm

Ted Klein is one of the current HL7 Vocabulary Technical Committee Co-chairs. Ted has been maintaining the HL7 OID registry application for several years.

Remote attendance will be available through Live Meeting.
